26 Park/Neutral Position Switch Circuit
Symptom: Park/neutral position switch circuit
- The park/neutral position switch inputs the condition of the select lever, i.e. whether it is in P or N range or in some other range, to the PCM.
- The PCM controls the idle air control motor based on this input.
Probable Cause
- Malfunction of park/neutral position switch
- Improper connector contact, open circuit or short-circuited harness wire
- Malfunction of the PCM.
