Air Bag Arming







1. Ensure no one is in the vehicle and key is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the battery (-) terminal.






CAUTION: Turn the ignition switch OFF before disconnecting or connecting the scan tool.

3. Connect the scan tool to the data link connector, then check diagnostic codes.
4. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.






5. Conduct diagnostic test using the scan tool to ensure entire SRS operates properly.
- Does the "SRS" warning light illuminate for about 7 seconds, turn OFF and then remain OFF?
- If yes, SRS system is functioning properly.
- If no, Testing and Inspection.
