Customer Satisfaction Notification # 752
Engine Coolant and Core Plugs

^ This service requirement applies only to 1996, 1997 and 1998 model year Chrysler Sebring Convertible (JX) vehicles equipped with a 2.5L V-6 engine ("H" in the 8th VIN position) built through July 23, 1997 (MDH 072321).

^ The engine coolant on the above listed vehicles, may not contain a sufficient amount of corrosion inhibitors. As a result, the engine block and cylinder head core plugs may corrode and leak. To correct this condition, the engine coolant must be replaced and the core plugs must be inspected and replaced if necessary.

NOTE:
Only the specified Mopar coolant may be used when performing this service procedure.

Alternate Transportation:

^ If inspection determines that core plug replacement is required and the vehicle must be held overnight, dealers should attempt to minimize customer inconvenience by placing the owner in a loaner vehicle.

Parts Packages:

^ Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in this notification were invoiced, will receive six (6) gallons of Mopar Coolant and enough Core Plug Packages to service about 5% of those vehicles. Very few vehicles are expected to require core plug replacement.
