Service Procedure

1. Cycle the convertible top down until it is stowed behind the rear seat.

2. Remove the rear seat cushion.





3. Remove the rear inner seat belt assembly (Figure 1).

4. Push upward on the rear seat back to disengage the hooks holding the rear seat back to the seat back support and then remove the seat back from the vehicle.

5. Remove the right rear speaker grille.

6. Remove the right door sill trim panel.





7. Remove the push-in fastener holding the rear quarter trim panel to the door sill (Figure 2).

8. Remove the five (5) trim panel screws (the inner screw in the velcro on the top of the trim panel, two (2) screws under the speaker grille and two (2) rear trim panel screws) (Figure 2).

9. Disengage the three (3) push-in fasteners along the B-pillar edge of the trim panel (Figure 2), disconnect the rear speaker wiring connector and then remove the trim panel.





10. Repeat Steps 5-9 to remove the left rear quarter trim panel.

11. Remove and discard the right side convertible top actuator bracket nut (Figure 3).

12. Install one of the provided actuator nuts and torque to 275 in-lbs (31 N.m).

CAUTION:
Make sure that the actuator mounting bracket detent is seated in the pivot bracket hole before tightening the actuator bracket nut.

13. Remove and discard the left side convertible top actuator bracket nut (Figure 3).

14. Install the other provided actuator nut and torque to 275 in-lbs (31 N.m).

15. Connect the rear speaker wiring connector, install the left rear quarter trim panel and then seat the three B-pillar push-in fasteners (Figure 2).

16. Install the five (5) trim panel screws (Figure 2).

17. Install the trim panel to door sill push-in fastener (Figure 2).

18. Install the door sill trim panel.

19. Install the speaker grille.

20. Repeat Steps 15-19 to install the right rear quarter trim panel.

21. Install the rear seat back. Push down on the seat back to ensure that the seat back hooks are engaged in the seat support brackets.

22. Install the rear inner seat belt assembly (Figure 1). Torque the nuts to 30 ft-lbs (40 N.m).

23. Install the rear seat cushion.

24. Return the convertible top to its original position.
