DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Emissions Recall # 7511 and # 7512-- VECI Label Replacement

^ This service requirement applies only to 1998 model year Chrysler Sebring Convertible (JX) vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine ("X" in the 8th VIN position) built through September 8, 1997 (MDH 090813) with a:

^ Federal Emission Control System (Sales Code --NAA)-- Recall # 7511

^ California Emission Control System (Sales Code -- NAE)-- Recall # 7512

^ The Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label installed on the above listed vehicles contains an error in the hose routing diagram. To correct this condition, a new VECI label must be installed.

Parts Packages:

^ Replacement labels are being mailed directly to owners. The owners are requested to install the labels themselves or, if preferred, to arrange for dealer installation of the owner-supplied label without charge.

^ Each involved dealer to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same street address), will receive enough labels (included with the vehicle list) to service 100% of unsold vehicles according to our records.
