Removal and Installation

AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR AND GENERATOR BELT

Accessory Drive Belt System-All Engines:




Air Conditioning Compressor And Generator:





1. Loosen T-Bolt locking nut A and pivot bolt B to remove and install Poly V belt and/or adjust belt tension.
2. Tighten adjusting bolt to adjust belt tension to specification shown in Belt Tension Chart.

Power Steering Belt Adjustment:





3. Tighten T-Bolt locking, nut A and pivot bolt B to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.)

Air Conditioning Compressor And Generator Belt Idler:





To remove and install the air conditioning compressor and generator drive belt, first loosen the idler pulley lock bolt, then turn the adjusting screw to increase or decrease the idler pulley tension.
To adjust the air conditioning and generator drive belt, loosen the idler pulley bolt and adjust belt tension by turning adjusting screw. Tighten pulley bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) after adjustment

POWER STEERING PUMP BELT
1. From the top of the vehicle loosen pivot bolt.
2. From under the vehicle loosen the locking bolts F and G.

Power Steering Belt Adjustment:








3. Install the belt. Adjust belt tension with 1/2 inch breaker bar installed in adjusting bracket. See Belt Tension Chart.
4. Tighten locking bolt G to 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.).
5. Tighten locking bolt F and the pivot bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
