Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove air intake plenum. Refer to Intake Manifold.
2. Cover lower intake manifold with a suitable cover during service.
3. Disconnect and relocate the spark plug wires.
4. Remove cylinder head cover screws and remove cover.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Before installation, clean cylinder head and cover mating surfaces. Make certain the rails are flat.

1. Clean cylinder head and cover mating surfaces. install new gasket.
2. Install cover and tighten cover bolt washer and gasket assembly to 3.5 N.m (2.5 ft. lbs.).
