4 Speed Automatic
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air cleaner duct.2. Remove transmission control module and wiring, then the solenoid pack connector.
3. Remove dipstick tube and oil cooler lines, then shift cable at lever and at clamp on transaxle.
4. Install engine support fixture, then remove left upper transaxle mounting bolts.
5. Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels and both drive shafts.
6. Remove splash shields, then remaining left upper mount bolts.
7. Remove engine oil filter, then starter and wiring.
8. Remove front motor mount bracket, then rear mount bracket through-bolt.
9. Remove center member bolts, then rear mount bracket bolts and rear mount bracket.
10. Remove radiator lower crossmember, then front and rear lateral bending strut brackets.
11. Remove flex plate cover.
12. Rotate lower engine pulley to line up converter bolts, then remove converter bolts. Mark converter for installation reference.
13. Remove crank position sensor if equipped.
14. Remove transaxle wiring, then loosen right side steering gear bolts and right side K-frame bolts.
15. Remove sway bar mounts.
16. Support transaxle with suitable transmission jack and safety chain.
17. Remove upper and lower bell housing bolts, then move K-frame reward and lower transaxle assembly from vehicle.
18. Reverse procedure to install.
