Power Steering Pump Belt Adjustment





For conventional belts and Poly-V belts, use belt tensioning Special Tool Kit C-4162, or equivalent to obtain proper belt tension. Adjust the belt tension for a New or Used belt as prescribed in specifications.
1. From the top of the vehicle loosen pivot bolt.
2. From under the vehicle loosen the locking bolts F and G.
3. Adjust belt tension with 1/2 inch breaker bar installed in adjusting bracket.
4. Tighten locking bolt G to 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.).
5. Tighten locking bolt F and the pivot bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
