Measuring Clearances

OIL CLEARANCE
1. Follow the procedures outlined in using plastigage. Refer to specifications.
2. Tighten nuts to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove connecting rod cap and measure Plastigage.

CAUTION: Do not rotate crankshaft or the Plastigage may be smeared.





SIDE CLEARANCE
Using a feeler gauge, check connecting rod side clearance. Refer to specifications.
