Transmission System Description

The F4AC1 automatic transaxle is a fully adaptive, electronically controlled four speed full automatic transaxle. The F4AC1 transaxle uses a three element type torque converter with torque converter clutch.





The F4AC1 transaxle provides four forward speeds with ratios of 2.84:1, 1.57:1, 1.00:1 and 0.069:1. Reverse ratio is 2.21:1 and the final gear ratio is 4.08:1. The F4AC1 transaxle Fig.2, consists of damper, under drive, reverse, 2/4, and flow with reverse clutches. It is also equipped with output and input speed sensors.
