Installation

Fig.9 Concave Section Of Band Adjustment:

1. Using pliers, apply pressure to concave section of bellows band and tighten.

Fig.10 Convex Section Of Band Adjustment:

2. Using a plastic hammer, bend the convex section of bellows band.

Fig.11 Dust Cover Sealant Application:

3. Pack tie rod dust cover with multipurpose grease, then apply specified sealant, 3M ATD Part No. 8663, or equivalent.
4. Using tool No. MB990776, or equivalent, install dust cover to tie rod end ball joint.

Fig.12 Tie Rod Replacement Dimension:

5. Install tie rod end to specified dimension, then tighten tie rod to specifications.
