Oil Pump Relief Pressure Test

Oil Pump Relief Pressure Test Special Tool Installation:

1. Disconnect the pressure hose from the oil pump, then connect the oil pump pressure test special tools.
2. Bleed air, then turn steering wheel several times while vehicle is not moving.
3. Start engine and idle at 900-1100 rpm.
4. Fully close the shutoff valve of the pressure gauge, then measure oil pump relief pressure to confirm that it is within 1209-1309 psi. Pressure gauge shutoff valve must not remain closed for more than 10 seconds.
5. If pressure is not as specified, overhaul oil pump.
6. Remove pressure test special tools, then tighten pressure hose to specifications.
7. Bleed system.
