No-Load Condition Pressure Test
No-Load Pressure Test Special Tool Installation:
1. Disconnect pressure hose from oil pump, then connect no-load condition pressure test special tools.
2. Bleed air, then turn steering wheel several times while vehicle is not moving so fluid temperature rises.
3. Start engine and idle at 900-1100 rpm.
4. Inspect and ensure hydraulic pressure is at standard value of 114-142 psi when no-load conditions are created, by fully opening pressure gauge shutoff valve.
5. If pressure is not as specified, condition's probable cause is oil line or steering gear box. Inspect and repair as required.
6. Remove pressure test special tools, then tighten pressure hose to specifications.
7. Bleed system.
