Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable and isolate terminal end.
2. Remove air bag module mounting nut from back side of steering wheel.

3. Remove air bag module from steering wheel.

4. Turn air bag module over and press air bag lock toward outer side to spread it open, then use a flat-tipped screwdriver to gently pry apart clockspring connector.
5. Remove steering wheel nut and steering wheel using suitable steering wheel puller tool. Do not use hammer to remove steering wheel as this may damage the collapsible shaft.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering wheel nut to 30 ft-lbs.
