Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Service and Repair

1. Ensure front wheels are in straight ahead position.
2. Disarm air bag as described under Air Bag System Disarming & Arming at Air Bags (SRS)/ Service and Repair.
3. Remove air bag module as described under Driver's Air Bag Module Replacement.
4. Remove steering wheel.
5. Remove lower steering column cover.
6. Remove clockspring and disconnect electrical connector.
7. Reverse procedure to install, aligning mating mark and "NEUTRAL" position indicator on clockspring.
