Tachometer Inspection

Tachometer Inspection:

1. Connect a flux-type engine speedometer.
2. Compare the readings of the engine speedometer and the tachometer at every engine speed and check if the variations are within the standard values.

Standard values:
8000 r/min. Display Tachometer
Engine Speed Indicated Variation
1000 r/min: ± 100 r/min
3000 r/min: ± 150 r/min
5000 r/min: ± 250 r/min
6000 r/min: ± 300 r/min

9000 r/min. Display Tachometer
Engine Speed Indicated Variation
700 r/min: ± 70 r/min
3000 r/min: +220/-110 r/min
5000 r/min: +300/-100 r/min
7000 r/min: +350/-50 r/min
