Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Release fuel system pressure as described under "Precautions".
2. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain engine coolant.

3. Disconnect air intake hose and breather hose
4. Disconnect accelerator cable and remove cable retaining clips.
5. Disconnect Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connector.
6. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector.
7. Disconnect vacuum hose connection.
8. Disconnect Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) connector.
9. Disconnect idle air control motor connector.
10. Remove control wiring harness.
11. Disconnect alternator wiring harness.
12. Remove Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose assembly.
13. Disconnect vacuum hose.
14. Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose.
15. Disconnect EGR pipe.
16. Disconnect high pressure fuel hose.
17. Remove intake manifold stay and engine hanger.
18. Disconnect injector connector.
19. Remove throttle body.
20. Remove intake manifold plenum and gasket.
21. Remove fuel rail/injector/pressure regulator assembly.
22. Remove injector O-rings.
23. Remove intake manifold and gasket.
24. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
