Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Testing and Inspection
Fig 34 Type 2 Proportioning Valve Pressure Gauge Test Connection:
1. Install suitable pressure gauges, one each on input side and output side of proportioning valve as shown.
2. Bleed brake line and pressure gauge, then gradually depress brake pedal and observe gauge readings. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System/Specifications.
3. Observe left and right output pressures, pressure difference between left and right should not be greater than 57 PSI.
4. If gauge readings are not within specifications, replace proportioning valve.
