Fault Message
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Voltage Too High

Background
- Data from the engine coolant temperature sensor is used in most fuel and spark related control functions.
- When DTC is set, the PCM uses a default value as the engine coolant temperature, and the vehicle enters the limp in mode.

Range of Check
- Ignition switch: ON

Set Condition
- Engine coolant temperature sensor output voltage remains more than 4.96 V for 3 seconds.

Probable Cause
- Sensor signal circuit open
- Sensor internally open
- Sensor ground circuit open
- PCM failed
