Body Wiring Harness Installation After Service

MODELS:

1996 (JX) Sebring Convertible

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Binding or hard operation of the HVAC controls after service, may be caused by interference of either the instrument panel or HVAC with the body wiring harness.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 4608350 Tie Strap Clip

DISCUSSION:

If the instrument panel or HVAC requires service, it is important that the body wiring harness be properly secured to the weld studs. The following body wiring harness installation procedure should be followed:





1. Attach the body wiring harness retainer to the top weld stud. Figure 1

2. Align the body wiring straight between the two weld studs.

3. Attach the body wiring harness to the lower weld stud using a tie-strap clip (P/N 4608350).

4. Insure that body harness runs straight down beside the weld studs with no bow or slack. Figure 1.
