Power Mirror Switch Inoperative With Ignition Off

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO ALL VEHICLES BUILT AFTER APRIL 1, 1996 (MDH 04-01-XX).

DISCUSSION:

The power mirror switch wiring feed has been changed from the battery (8+) circuit to the ignition (J2) circuit. This changes the operation of the power mirror switch, the power mirror switch will no longer operate when the vehicle ignition is off. The ignition switch must now be in the "on" position for the mirrors to operate. This change was made to improve the reliability of the power mirror switch.
