IMPORTANT

Customer Satisfaction Notification # 713 -- Timing Belt

^ This service requirement applies only to the following vehicles equipped with an engine built from March 8, 1996 through March 13, 1996 OR from March 28, 1996 through May 24, 1996:

^ 1996 Model Year Chrysler cirrus and Dodge Stratus (JA); and Chrysler Sebring Convertible (JX) Vehicles Equipped With A 2.4L Engine ("X" in the 8th VIN Position)

^ 1996 Model Year Dodge caravan and Plymouth Voyager (NS) Vehicles Equipped With A 2.4L Engine ("B" in the 8th VIN Position)

^ The camshaft timing belt tensioner and bracket assembly and/or the idler pulley on the above listed vehicles may cause the timing belt to fail. To prevent this condition, the timing belt, tensioner and bracket assembly and idler pulley must be replaced.

^ Effective immediately all repairs on involved vehicles are to be performed according to this Customer Satisfaction Notification. The Labor Operation Number for TSB 09-11-96 Rev. A is being canceled. Those vehicles that have already had this repair performed, as determined by our warranty records, have been excluded from this notification.

Parts Packages:

^ Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in this notification were invoiced, will receive enough Timing Belt Packages to service 25% of those vehicles.
