Lower Ball Joint

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Install dial indicator so it contacts top surface of steering knuckle near lower ball joint stud castle nut.
3. Grasp wheel and tire assembly and push it up and down firmly.
4. Record amount of up and down movement of steering knuckle from dial indicator.
5. Replace lower control arm if movement exceeds 0.059 inch.
