Power Seat Switch Sticks

MODELS:
1995 - 1996 (FJ) Avenger/Sebring/Talon

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some vehicles may exhibit a condition where the power seat switch may stick. This is caused by the seat switch garnish interfering with the switch, causing it to stick.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 MR732385 Garnish, Power Seat Switch (Brown)
1 MR732386 Garnish, Power Seat Switch (Gray)
1 MR732387 Garnish, Power Seat Switch (Blue)

REPAIR PROCEDURE:





This bulletin involves removing the seat switch garnish and replacing it with a new and improved part.

1. Test switch operation to verify sticking condition.

2. Remove the switch cover from the seat switch.

3. Remove the switch garnish from the seat.

4. Replace the switch garnish with a new part.

NOTE:
MAKE SURE THERE IS NO INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE GARNISH AND EXTRA SEAT COVER MATERIAL TO ENSURE GARNISH SNAPS INTO PLACE PROPERLY.

5. Reinstall the switch cover onto the switch.

6. Test switch for proper operation.
