Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove exhaust pipe from manifold. It may be necessary to remove entire exhaust system.
3. Remove exhaust manifold heat shield attaching bolts and heat shield.
4. Remove eight exhaust manifold attaching bolts and exhaust manifold.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new manifold gasket.
b. Tighten exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe attaching bolts to specifications.
