Seat Belt: Service and Repair

Front Seat Belt Buckle:

FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE REMOVAL
1. Remove front seat as necessary to gain access to seat belt buckle anchor bolt.
2. Remove bolt holding buckle and reinforcement to front seat track.
3. Separate seat belt buckle from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Place seat belt buckle in position on vehicle.
2. Install bolt to hold buckle and reinforcement to front seat track or floor.
3. In stall front seat, if it was removed.

Front Shoulder Belt Turning Loop:

FRONT SHOULDER BELT-TURNING LOOP REMOVAL
1. On back of turning loop cover, disengage clips holding cover to turning loop.
2. Separate cover from turning loop.
3. Remove bolt holding turning loop to shoulder belt height adjuster.
4. Separate turning loop from adjuster.

INSTALLATION
1. Place turning loop in position on adjuster.
2. Install bolt to hold turning loop to shoulder belt height adjuster.
3. Install cover on turning loop.

Front Seat Belt Retractor:

FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REMOVAL
1. Remove shoulder belt turning loop from height adjuster.
2. Remove upper B-pillar trim.
3. Remove lower B-pillar trim.
4. Remove push-in fastener holding seat belt retractor to floor kick-up below B-pillar.
5. Separate seat belt retractor from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Place seat belt retractor in position on vehicle.
2. Install push-in fastener to hold seat belt retractor to floor kick-up below B-pillar.
3. Install lower B-pillar trim.
4. Install upper B-pillar trim.
5. Install shoulder belt turning loop on height adjuster.

Rear Seat Belt Buckle:

REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLE REMOVAL
1. Remove rear seat cushion.
2. Remove rear seat back.
3. Separate seat belt buckle or belt from stud on floor.

INSTALLATION
1. Place seat belt buckle or belt anchor over stud on floor.
2. Install rear seat back.
3. Install rear seat cushion.

Rear Seat Belt Retractor:

REAR SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REMOVAL
1. Remove upper quarter trim panels.
2. Remove one lower quarter trim panel.
3. Remove parcel shelf trim cover.
4. Remove bolt holding lower seat belt anchor to floor below quarter trim.
5. Remove bolt holding belt retractor to shelf panel.
6. Separate belt from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Place belt in position on vehicle.
2. Install bolt to hold belt retractor to shelf panel.
3. Install bolt to hold lower seat belt anchor to floor below quarter trim.
4. Install parcel shelf trim cover.
5. Install lower quarter trim panel.
6. Install upper quarter trim panels.
