Traction Control Switch: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The traction control system has a switch located in the instrument panel to allow the operator to turn the system OFF. Circuit B27 is used as an input from the switch to the Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). Ground for the switch is provided on circuit Z1. This circuit terminates at the Airbag Control Module (ACM) bracket.

When the traction control system ON the CAB provides a ground path for the G83 circuit. This ground path illuminates the lamp in the message center

If a problem is detected in the system the CAB provides a ground path for the G84 circuit. This ground path illuminates the lamp in the message center.
