THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 23-61-96, DATED OCT. 4, 1996, WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FILES AND NOTED IN THE 1996 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN MANUAL (PUBLICATION NO. 81-699-97010). ALL REVISIONS ARE HIGHLIGHTED WITH **ASTERISKS** AND INCLUDE THE ADDITION OF A MODEL YEAR.

NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN DOES NOT APPLY TO AFTERMARKET OR DEALER INSTALLED SUNROOFS.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Sunroof sunshade binds when opening or closing sunroof. Continued use of sunroof with this condition may damage sunroof track(s) and hardware.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves adjusting the sunroof glass panel.

1. Press the vent button to put the sunroof in the vent position.

2. Remove the sunroof side shields.

3. Loosen the four sunroof glass panel attachment nuts.

4. Close the sunroof panel (this will seat the glass panel to the nominal position).

5. Vent the glass panel half way.

6. Tighten the glass panel attachment nuts.

7. Open the glass panel to the full vent position.

8. Close sunshade.

9. Open sunroof.

10. If binding condition reoccurs repeat steps 1 thru 9.

11. Reinstall sunroof side shields.
