Sunroof Assembly (Module) Replacement

NOTE: The numbered call-outs in the following service procedure refer the numbered parts found in the exploded view diagram.

Sunroof Module:

REMOVAL
1. Operate glass panel to open position.
2. Disconnect battery negative cable.
3. Remove left A-pillar molding.
4. Disengage controller harness extension wire connector (58) from body harness at A-pillar.
5. Remove headlining.
6. Disengage hose clamps and separate drain tubes from sunroof module.
7. Remove bolts holding sunroof module mounting brackets to side rails. Do not loosen or remove brackets from module.
8. With the aid of a helper, remove bolts holding sunroof module to roof panel.
9. Separate sunroof module from roof panel.
10. Extract sunroof module through rear door opening.

INSTALLATION
1. Glass panel in open position.
2. insert sunroof module through rear door opening.
3. Place sunroof module in position on roof panel.
4. With the aid of a helper, install bolts to hold the sunroof module to roof panel.
5. Install bolts to hold sunroof module mounting brackets to side rails.
6. Push drain tubes onto sunroof module and engage hose clamps.
7. Engage controller harness extension wire connector (58) into body harness at A-pillar.
8. Test sunroof operation, adjust if necessary.
9. Install headlining.
10. Connect battery negative cable.
