Body Mounted Door Weatherstrip Loose

MODELS:
1993 - 1997 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Body mounted door weatherstrip (secondary weatherstrip) loose or pulls away from pinch flange easily.

DIAGNOSIS:

Inspect weatherstrip where it has pulled away from pinch flange for damage. If weatherstrip is damaged, replace. If weatherstrip is OK, perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

AR 06504701 Clip, Weatherstrip

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing clips to secure weatherstrips to pinch flange.





1. Install clip, p/n 06504701, on pinch flange in area where weatherstrip is loose to pinch flange. One clip in center of pulled away area should be enough.

2. Install weatherstrip over clips and pinch flange.

NOTE:
WEATHERSTRIPS CAN BE INSTALLED WITHOUT REMOVING TRIM PANELS.

3. Repeat procedure on all loose secondary weatherstrips as necessary.
