NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE OCT. 14, 1995 (MDH 1O14XX) AND EQUIPPED WITH A 2.4L ENGINE (SALES CODE EDZ) WITH AN ENGINE BUILD DATE CODE (LOCATED ON THE LEFT REAR OF THE BLOCK BEHIND THE STARTER) PRIOR TO 2463.

DISCUSSION:

If servicing an oil galley plug(s) becomes necessary for any of the subject vehicles, do not attempt to reseat or replace the galley plug(s). Always replace the cylinder head assembly when an oil galley plug(s) is leaking or dislodged.





Replacement head should be inspected for a K95 build code (see illustration) or higher; i.e., L95, A96, etc.

WHEN INSTALLING A 2.4L HEAD WITH A K95 OR LATER BUILD CODE USE THE FOLLOWING TIME ALLOWANCE INFORMATION:
