Sunroof Cable Synchronization

NOTE: The numbered call-outs in the following service procedure refer the numbered parts found in the exploded view diagram.

After cables, or mechanisms have been replaced both cables must be synchronized. If the cables are not synchronized the sunroof linkage will bind and could break the mechanism.

1. With the sunroof drive motor (21) and glass panel (1) removed, slowly push both panel front guides (28) forward until they stop.

NOTE: The panel front guides (28) MUST be to the front of the tracks on both sides to synchronize cables.

2. Install drive motor (21) and connect wire connector. Be careful not to disturb cables.
3. Install glass panel. Verify proper alignment.
4. Verify sunroof operation and alignment.
5. Install mechanism reveal covers.
6. Install headlining.
