Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

Door Glass, Guide Bar And Lift Plate:

DOOR GLASS REMOVAL
1. Remove door trim panel and water shield.
2. Plug window switch into wire harness or install crank.
3. Roll glass up.
4. Remove nut holding glass to lift plate from above roller channel.
5. Roll glass down until remaining nuts on lift plate align with square holes in door panel.
6. Remove bolts holding front and rear glass stabilizers to top of door.
7. Separate stabilizers from door.
8. Remove bolt holding guide hook to top of door.
9. Remove nuts holding glass lift plate.
10. Separate glass from lift plate
11. Lift glass upward and out of opening at top of door.

INSTALLATION
If glass replacement is required, transfer studs, insulators and T-nuts from original glass to new glass. Tighten T-nuts to 60 in. lbs. torque maximum. Reverse the preceding operation to complete installation.
