Rear Side Rail Weatherstrip and Retainer Removal

Roof Rail And Header Weatherstrips:

REMOVAL
1. Release latches holding roof header to windshield header.
2. Raise folding top to mid point.
3. Pull rear side rail weatherstrip from retainer.
4. Remove screws holding retainer to rear side rail.
5. Separate retainer from rear side rail.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean adhesive and foam tape from retainer, weatherstrip and rear side rail.
2. Apply adhesive backed foam tape to back of retainer.
3. Place retainer in position on rear side rail.
4. Install screws to hold retainer to rear side rail.
5. Apply a 8 mm (0.250 in.) bead of black weatherstrip adhesive to back of weatherstrip.
6. Insert weatherstrip into retainer.
7. Close top and water test vehicle.
