Center Side Rail Weatherstrip and Retainer Removal

Roof Rail And Header Weatherstrips:

REMOVAL
1. Release latches holding roof header to windshield header.
2. Raise folding top to mid point.
3. Pull center side rail weatherstrip from retainer.
4. Remove screws holding retainer to center side rail.
5. Separate retainer from center side rail.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean adhesive and foam tape from retainer, weatherstrip and center side rail.
2. Apply adhesive backed foam tape to back of retainer.
3. Place retainer in position on center side rail.
4. Install screws to hold retainer to center side rail.
5. Apply a 8 mm (0.250 in.) bead of black weatherstrip adhesive to back of weatherstrip.
6. Insert weatherstrip into retainer.
7. Close top and water test vehicle.
