3.3.6 Low Stored Energy

When Monitored

The ASDM monitors its internal power storage system continuously while the ignition is on.

When Stored in Memory

This code is stored when the ASDM senses that its stored internal voltage has dropped below a predetermined level.

Effect

There may be insufficient power available internally to deploy the air bag if external power is lost in a collision.

Possible Causes

This code may be set by loose or corroded connections to the ASDM, or an internal charging system problem causing low system voltage.

Test Procedures

Follow the required test sequence starting with Test 1A.
