Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes

Tip: Reading codes requires the use of a DRBII Diagnostic Readout Box or Equivalent Scan Tool, with correct software.

Procedure

1. Connect the Scan Tool to the vehicle by plugging the body diagnostic cable connector into the ASDM data link connector.

- The connector is located on the ASDM.
- The ASDM is mounted above the floor in the front of the passenger compartment directly below the center of the dash.


NOTE: It is not necessary to perform all of the tests in Diagnostic Charts to diagnose an individual code.
