Instrument Panel/Door Trim Panel - Squeaking

Instrument Panel To Door Trim Panel Squeak

MODELS:

1992-1993 (AJ) Lebaron Convertible

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some vehicles may exhibit a squeak/rubbing type noise coming from the one or both sides of the instrument panel contacting the door trim panel(s).

DIAGNOSIS:

Road test the vehicle to verify the noise. If the noise appears to be coming from between the instrument panel and door trim panel(s), proceed with the following repair.

PARTS REQUIRED:

2 Noise Patch 4665733

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing a noise abatement patch on both door trim panels.

1. Clean and remove any solvents, silicones, etc. from the door trim panel. Use a suitable "wax and grease" remover, following the manufacturer's recommendation.





2. Install the patch on each door panel by pressing it firmly into the first contour across from the side window demister inlet at point "A" (as illustrated).

3. Verify the repair.
