Front Seat Belt Catching

In Quarter Trim Panel Guide

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

On some vehicles built prior to March 24, 1992, the front outer seat belt may catch in the upper quarter trim panel guide. A molding can be installed in the upper quarter trim panel guide to eliminate this condition.


PARTS REQUIRED:

2 Molding 4723930


REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This repair involves installing molding in the upper quarter trim panel guide(s).





1. Fold/compress the tail section of the molding until it contacts the back of the molding, see Figure 1.






2. Slide the "T" section of the molding onto the upper quarter, see Figure 2.



3. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the vehicle.
