Idle Speed: Specifications

Idle speed is not adjustable. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls idle speed through the Idle Air Control (IAC) motor. If idle speed is outside of specifications, or is rough, or unstable, inspect and clean throttle body, (if deposits are visible).
After cleaning throttle body perform minimum air flow test.

IDLE SPEED SPECIFICATIONS- DURING MINIMUM AIRFLOW TEST
Less than 1,000 miles on vehicle 650-1,400 rpm
Over 1,000 miles on vehicle 700-1,400 rpm
