Low Fluid/Parking Brake Fault (Non-Latching)
LOW FLUID/PARKING BRAKE FAULT (NON-LATCHING)WARNING LIGHTS
BRAKE immediately, and ANTI LOCK when the vehicle is above 3 miles per hour.
DETECTION
This fault is detected during the drive-off cycle.
DESCRIPTION
This fault is set when low brake fluid is detected by the fluid level sensor in the hydraulic assembly. Also, on vehicles equipped with a mechanical instrument cluster and no EVIC system, this fault is set when the park brake is applied when the vehicle is in motion above 3 miles per hour.
If the LOW FLUID/PARKING BRAKE fault goes away, the system reverts to normal operation and the ANTILOCK warning light is extinguished. However, the fault will remain stored until either cleared by the DRBII, or until 50 key cycles have elapsed since the detection of the fault.
