EXCESS DECAY FAULT (NON-LATCHING)

DETECTION
This fault is detected during ABS cycling if any 2 decay valves are on for more than 2 seconds.

DESCRIPTION
If during ABS cycling any two decay valves are commanded to remain on for more than two seconds, the EXCESS DECAY FAULT is set, the ABS is shut down, and the ANTILOCK light is illuminated. Excessive decay faults may be caused by modulator faults, hydroplaning, very long stops on ice, incorrect tone wheels, incorrect CAB operation, dragging brakes and sensor faults.
