DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY RECALL # 511 -- FRONT OUTBOARD PASSENGER SEAT BELT

This service requirement applies only to the following 1991 model year vehicles equipped with 50/50 front bench seat (power or manual) and built through mid November, 1990:

- Plymouth Acclaim, Dodge Spirit, Chrysler LeBaron Sedan (AA-Body)
- Dodge Dynasty, Chrysler New Yorker (AC-Body)
- Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue, Imperial (AY-Body)

Front outboard passenger seat belt buckle assemblies on involved vehicles must be checked for improper engagement and release operation. Difficult latching or unlatching may occur as a result of the belt webbing stiffener entering into the buckle. The stiffener in properly operating buckle assemblies must be reworked to prevent a subsequent problem. Buckle assemblies which do not operate properly must be replaced.

Note: The driver's seat belt is not affected.
