Body Control Module: Testing and Inspection: Overview

These Body Diagnostic Procedures cover 1991 Dodge Dynasty, Chrysler New Yorker, New Yorker Salon, New Yorker 5th Avenue, and Imperial vehicles equipped with the following body Systems: Electronic Vehicle Instrument Cluster (EVIC), Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC), Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC), vehicle theft alarm, headlamp doors, automatic door locks, intermittent wipers, illuminated entry, and courtesy lamps.

The procedures contained include all the specifications, instructions, and graphics needed to diagnose body system problems.

The diagnostic test procedures have been designed specifically for use with Chrysler's DRBII diagnostic read-out box. When performing the tests, it is assumed you are using the DRBII (unless the test tells you to do otherwise).

Diagnostic procedures change every year. New diagnostic systems may be added; carry-over systems may be enhanced. READ THE ENTIRE HELPFUL INFORMATION SECTION BEFORE TRYING TO DIAGNOSE A VEHICLE FAULT. It is recommended that you review to become familiar with all new and changed diagnostic procedures.
