Verification Test VER-3
1. Inspect the vehicle for missing or damaged vacuum lines and/or wires/connections. Repair as necessary.2. If another previously read fault has not been corrected, return to TEST DR-1A and follow the repair procedure for that fault.
3. If the engine controller has been changed, and the vehicle has a factory theft alarm, start the vehicle at least 20 times to make the alarm system operational.
4. Connect the DRBII to the engine diagnostic connector and erase all fault codes, then disconnect the DRBII.
5. Check for remaining faults:
a. Start the engine. For A/C equipped vehicles turn on the air conditioning and set the blower to low speed.
b. Drive the vehicle for at least five minutes, reaching a speed of 40 MPH at least once. Make sure the transmission shifts through all gears. When completed with the road test, shut off the engine.
c. Start the engine and allow to idle for at least two minutes, then shut off the engine.
d. Connect the DRBII to the engine diagnostic connector, and check for fault codes.
6. If the repaired fault is still present, check for related Technical Service Bulletins and return to TEST DR-1A, if necessary.
7. If a different fault code is present, return to TEST DR-1A and follow the repair procedures for that code.
8. If no fault codes are present, the repair is completed.
