Verification Test VER-1

1. Inspect the vehicle for loose, missing, or damaged vacuum lines and/or electrical wires/connections. Repair as necessary. Try to start the engine. If the engine will not start, go to TEST NS-1A.
2. IF THE ENGINE STARTS AND THE ENGINE CONTROLLER HAS BEEN CHANGED:
a. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory theft alarm, start the vehicle at least 20 times to make the theft alarm operational.
b. The no start condition has been corrected.
3. IF THE ENGINE IS ABLE TO START AND THE ENGINE CONTROLLER HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED:
a. Connect the scan tool to the engine diagnostic connector and erase faults.
b. The no start condition has been corrected and fault messages have been erased.
