109A Testing For No Response on the DRBII Message Screen

Perform TEST 1A Before Proceeding

There are four ways to get to this test.

1. The DRBII is currently connected to either the CCD bus or AIR BAG diagnostic connector and you have selected ENGINE from the main menu.

2. The ignition switch is in the off position.

3. The DRBII, DRBII cartridge, or DRBII adapter cable is bad.

4. There is a wiring, connector, or engine controller problem.

If item 1 is the reason you are here, and you want to perform powertrain tests, connect the DRBII to the SCI connector in the engine compartment.

If item 2 is true, turn the ignition switch to the on position.

If item 3 is suspected, See Help 2.

If the "NO RESPONSE" message was the result of one of the first three items at the top of this page, return to the powertrain diagnostic manual before the appearance of the "NO RESPONSE" message. If the "NO RESPONSE" message is still on the DRBII, Perform TEST 109B.
