REMOVAL/DISCONNECTION OF SYSTEM COMPONENTS

CAUTION: Certain components of the A-604 are not intended to be serviced individually. Attempting to remove or disconnect certain system components may result in personal injury and/or improper system operation. Only those components with approved removal and installation procedures should be serviced.

TEST DRIVING THE A-604 ULTRADRIVE TRANSAXLE COMPLAINT VEHICLES

Some A-604 ultradrive complaints will require a test drive as a part of the diagnostic procedure. The purpose of the test drive is normally to try to duplicate a fault condition.

CAUTION: Before test driving a transaxle complaint vehicle, make sure that the transaxle has completed the shift lever test successfully, has a proper fluid level, and the fluid is not burned. There could be a reduction in A-604 performance if these conditions are not met.
