Fault Code 1
1. Remove pin #2 from the control module 21-way connector. Retest the system.- If code 1 reappears, go to step 5.
- If code 1 does not reappear go to step 2.
2. Disconnect the 21-way connector from the control module.
3. Measure the resistance between pins 2 and 12. The resistance should be between 2600 and 2800 ohms.
- If the resistance is out of specifications, replace the power module.
- If the resistance is within specifications, go to step 4.
4. Pin #2 is receiving a voltage signal from somewhere in the wiring. Check the wiring diagram and repeat the test.
5. Remove pin #13 from the control module 21-way connector. Retest the system.
- If code 1 reappears, go to step 6.
- If code 1 does not reappear, locate the source of the voltage on pin #13 and repair. Retest the system.
6. Remove pin #5 from the control module 21-way connector. Retest the system.
- If code 1 reappears, go to step 7.
- If code 1 does not reappear, locate the source of the voltage on pin #5 and repair. Retest the system.
7. Remove pin #6 from the control module 21-way connector. Retest the system.
- If code 1 reappears, go to step 8.
- If code 1 does not reappear, locate the source of the voltage on pin #6 and repair. Retest the system.
8. Remove pin #15 from the control module 21-way connector. Retest the system.
- If code 1 does not reappear, locate the source of the voltage on pin #15 and repair. Retest the system.
